　　The sculptures of Andrzej Szymczyk, an exhibitor at other art fairs in London, are based on hyper-realism in the form of humans and animals, which are then combined with different levels of expression.

　　Tell us who you are and what you do. What is your background?
　　I am a sculptor, specializing in figurative bronze sculptures. I studied fine arts and sculpture in Poland and the UK, and received a master's degree from the School of Sculpture.

　　Can you guide us through your process? How do you know when the artwork is finished?
　　When an idea comes to my mind, I first draw sketch notes and study the object. I was very excited, and then quickly started sculpting. After the engraving is completed, I continue with the technical process of moulding, casting and finishing bronze.
　　There are two stages of completion in making sculptures. First-most importantly-it is difficult to judge. This is the creative process at the carving stage. I often struggle in my mind, but usually tend to express more than other more measurable values (such as anatomical accuracy, etc.).
The second stage is the technical stage. The long and laborious molding and casting process finally reached the bronze color. It is easier to judge because the original clay sculpture is a reference.

　　Will isolation affect your artistic creation in any way?
　　I worked alone in lock-in work and managed to make a new collection of sculptures. I have no social distractions, no shortcomings, but I also have a lot of time to create. In general, this was a period when my art was very rich, which led to a great increase in interest in my art.

　　As an artist, what is the best advice for you?
　　I am not good at listening to suggestions and trying to remember anyone who will stand out. I hope to be more attentive and listening.

　　Can you tell us something about you that people will be surprised to hear?
　　I am planning to get rid of the Western lifestyle and move to Madagascar. There, I hope to reconnect with nature and develop my art. I will continue to live and create there.
